Dilemmas in the pathological diagnosis of rare soft tissue tumors: Classical and novel diagnostic biomarkers and emerging concepts
Keywords:
Soft tissue pathology, Molecular diagnosticsSynopsis
Rare soft tissue tumors are difficult to recognize and diagnose, even by experienced pathologists. Molecular analysis plays an increasingly important role in the diagnosis of these tumors, with clinicians combining clinical, pathological, and genetic information for an accurate diagnosis. This thesis contributes to improving diagnostics by exploring both existing and new methods and biomarkers. It offers new insights that lead to more accurate diagnoses. Earlier and better diagnosis enables patients to receive the right treatment more quickly, resulting in improved outcomes and a higher chance of a better quality of life.
